Terms & Conditions
Welcome to The Curation Department. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including art leasing, curation, and consultation. By engaging with us, you agree to the following:
1. Services Provided
The Curation Department offers art curation, leasing, and installation services for commercial and creative spaces. Specific terms of each engagement will be outlined in a written proposal or service agreement signed by both parties.
2. Ownership of Artwork
All artwork remains the property of the artist or The Curation Department unless explicitly sold. Clients are granted temporary usage rights for leased works during the agreed period.
3. Usage Restrictions
Leased artwork must be displayed in the agreed location and condition. Clients may not reproduce, alter, or sub-lease any artwork without written permission from the artist.
4. Fees and Payment
All fees for leasing, curation, or consultation will be outline in your service agreement. Payments are due within 15 days of invoicing unless otherwise stated. Late payments may incur a fee.
5. Cancellations and Terminations
Clients may cancel scheduled services/installations with 7 days written/email notice. If cancellation occurs after artwork has been prepared or delivered, a cancellation fee does apply. The Curation Department reserves the right to terminate service in cases of misuse, non-payment, or breach of terms.
6. Damage or Loss
Clients are responsible for the care of leased artwork while in their possession. Any loss or damage will result in repair or replacement charges, which will be outlined in the agreement.
7. Intellectual Property
All branding, curation concepts, copy, and design presented by The Curation Department are protected intellectual property and may not be reused without permission
8. Liability Limitations
We are not liable for indirect, direct, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from the display or use of artwork or services rendered.
9. Changes to Terms
The Curation Department may update these Terms at any time. We will notify clients of material changes.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Maryland, USA.
